Black headstock overlay with gold Gibson logo. Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard is in awesome shape, and frets show wear, but have a lot of life left. Neck: Chunky mahogany neck with aged white side dots and pearl dot inlays. Nickel trapeze tailpiece and compensated rosewood bridge with floating rosewood base.
Pickguard shows some slight warping from age but isn’t cracked and is in great shape.
Dual f-holes and single-ply black pickguard. Overall, this one is in super clean shape, with a beautiful patina.īody: Double bound mahogany sides with maple top & back in sunburst finish. The original tuners have replacement buttons on them, and the grommets are unoriginal. The guitar came to us with replacement tuners on it, which have since been put back to original, however there is some ghosting on the front of the headstock from the old tuners. There is expected finish checking throughout much of the instrument, and there is some very light scratching on the top from bridge movement. This has also resulted in a small amount of finish chipping away around the treble side f-holes, and on the back near the binding. It appears this one caught a little bit of water on the treble side lower bout, as the case would suggest. There is some light surface scratching on the body, along with pickwear on the guard and light fretwear. Professionally inspected and setup by the experts at Cream City Music, ready to play out of the case.Ĭosmetic condition: Phenomenal shape for its age, with only some light playwear throughout. The solid mahogany construction is warm and resonant, and the dog-ear P-90 sound positively terrific, with ample bite & clarity. Phenomenal overall condition, and beyond a set of reproduction tuning buttons (the originals were absolutely disintegrated), completely original. What makes this guitar special: An absolute case queen, recently acquired from the family of the original owner, who reportedly had it stored untouched in a closet since the late ‘80s.
